FAIR data for reproducible research

This Lunch & Learn series offers members of the UZH insights into various aspects of Open Science. The event begins with an half-hour input presentation and concludes with an open Q&A session.

General information

Simply opening up research data does not, by itself, solve problems of irreproducibility in research. Data outputs from research projects should also be FAIR (findable, accessible, interoperable and reusable) to ensure their usefulness for other researchers, or research as a whole.

In this Lunch&Learn we will start by defining what data is, understand the FAIR principles and discover how important metadata is. We will further discuss that FAIR data does not have to be open and that a data management plan can help structure the outputs from your next research project.
