Conducting literature searches using PubMed

This course is all about PubMed, a free resource supporting the search and retrieval of biomedical and life sciences literature. Examples will be used to demonstrate the search functionality and information structure in this web-based resource.

General information

In this course, you will learn how to: - Use basic search functionality - Use advanced search functions and MeSH terms (subject headings) - Refine search results using filters - Edit searches, manage results, set up notifications and save searches to a user account - Obtain full text articles
Familiarity with the biomedical and life sciences literature
- Students in medicine, healthcare-related fields and biomedical sciences - Physicians, university hospital researchers, nurses and other healthcare professionals
